Cookies Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on Emma Wolf (https://www.emmawolf.com/) and on the other websites of the Emma Wolf projects that link to it, and how you can control them. The controller is Imre FARKAS, a private individual from Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania (hello@emmawolf.com). More about how we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser; the browser's local storage works in a similar way. Under EU and Romanian law (Law no. 506/2004), such information may be stored on or read from your device without your consent only when this is strictly necessary for a service you requested; for any other purpose your consent is needed.

2. Cookies we set

Our websites set only the following first-party cookies. They are not used for advertising or to track you on other websites.

Legal basis: these cookies are strictly necessary for the website or for a feature you choose, so no consent is required (Art. 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004).

3. Third-party services

  • Google Fonts: the fonts are loaded from Google's servers; Google receives your IP address, but no cookies are set for this.
  • PayPal: the donation button image is loaded from PayPal. If you use the button, PayPal sets its own cookies on its website under its own cookie policy.
  • Support form: our help desk (osticket.emmawolf.com) sets a session cookie (OSTSESSID) while you fill in a support request. It is strictly necessary and expires after 24 hours.
  • Disqus: the comment section of the community page is provided by Disqus, Inc. When you open that page, Disqus may set its own cookies, including for analytics and advertising, under its own privacy policy. The other pages do not load Disqus.

4. How to control cookies

All modern browsers let you view, block and delete cookies in their settings. If you block the cookies listed above, some features (for example signing in or remembering your appearance setting) may not work.

5. Changes and contact

We update this policy whenever we change the cookies we use. If you have a question, write to hello@emmawolf.com.
